Kind Koalas

Hello all :)

I have a rather cute card to share with you today.
I made it recently for a friend and couldn't resist sharing as this fellow is just too darn cute!

I used my Blendabilities to colour the Koala and flower. I am slowly getting the hang of them. The dark colour always trips me up though!
I fussy cut them out and popped them on with dimensionals. I used some Crystal Effects for the nose and flower centre.
Of course I added some piercing to finish off the card front ;)

Because the card is 4 3/4" square, I made an envelope using the fantastic envelope board.

Doesn't the photo above remind you of Spring?

Back in New Zealand the tulips popping up in the Botanic Garden always signaled the onset of Spring for me so that was the inspiration for this card in a box project for my upcoming class.

I've used the 'Sweet Sorbet' DSP (one of the free goodies you can choose from with Sale-a-bration!) to cover my box and to make a coordinating envelope. The images are from the lovely set 'Backyard Basics' which have coordinating framelits so no need for fussy cutting!

 

I love how this card is so full of dimension yet it lies flat for posting!

Boxes From An Envelope Board?!

I hope you have something nice planned for the last day of your weekend. I'll be attempting to clean my work room (I know!!!) as it was left in a bit of a mess before I headed to NS.
Speaking of NS my lovely upline Carol and I have been working on another tutorial. This one is called 'Very Valentine's' so stay tuned!

Today I'm sharing another project from my 'Envelope Punch Board Basics' class.
It's a matchbox. The draw pulls out to hold a wee gift (or ummm chocolate). Isn't it adorable?
And to think it's made with the Envelope Punch Board!
