It's a beautiful day here ... Bright and sunny which is what these cute chick boxes are!

I made a few for class attendees this week.

I think they're so stinkin' cute 😍

There hasn't been a 'Pyramid Pal' I've made yet that I haven't thought is cute though lol.

Spring Blooms

Happy Sunday!

Spring is officially here, though to look outside you might think otherwise ha!

My next class is Easter themed and the 'Indescribable Gift' stamp set in the Occasions catalogue is perfect for it.

I cased this card from Pinterest. I stamped the image on vellum then coloured it in. The result is really soft and delicate just like new Spring blossoms.

Egg-cited For Easter

 

It's snowing here again (sigh) so I thought I'd posted this darling card to add some sunshine to the day.
I can't help but smile every time I look at this sweet card :)

Because of all the goings on inside the card I thought I would keep the card front simple. That way when the recipient opens the card there is even more of a WOW factor.

The potted Easter egg gives just a hint that the card is for Easter but you certainly don't expect to find bunnies and air balloons!

Ears, Eggs and Easter

This is the last project of my upcoming Easter class. It's a swing card!
I've used the adorable bunnies from 'Ears To You' again and teamed it with 'Easter Blossoms'. I love the colour combo on the 'Tea For Two' DSP so used it as my inspiration.

Carrots Aren't Just Good For Your Eyes

Today I'm sharing another one of the projects for my upcoming Easter class.

 As soon as I saw the adorable bunnies on the 'Ears To You' stamp, I knew what I wanted to do with them.

I had seen a sour cream container on Pintrest done up like a carrot (Thanks Jo Dumbleton!) and what better image to add to it than a bunny?! I had quite a choice deciding which one to use - There's three to choose from LOL.

Inside the carrot there's four Cadbury Caramilk Mini Eggs (Mmmmmm), proving carrots aren't just good for your eyes; they're good for chocolate cravings too, and imagine finding one of these in your yard whilst going on an egg hunt!

Easter Blossoms

Happy Tuesday :)
It's March break here this week so I have my children at home. I am trying to make in roads on my class schedule so people know what is coming up. Easier said than done!
I do have a card to share today though that is one of the projects for my Easter class.
It's a shadow box. The photo above doesn't really show you the depth so here's one I took side on ...

 
The fantastic thing about this card, is that even though it is so thick it lies flat for posting!
I used the beautiful (unfortunately retired) 'Easter Blossoms' set. The girl is heat embossed in Pewter embossing powder ... I think it looks black in the photos though so I took a close up pic ...

Hippity Hop

Hello and a belated happy Easter :)
I thought I had set up my blog to update over the Easter weekend as I was away but, whatever I did obviously didn't work... Hmmmm, I need to work on my technological skills it seems!

Here's a card I had guests at the lovely Cindy's house make, during a workshop. It was a great evening thank you Cindy!
The bunny is made using punches... simple but isn't he cute? It's amazing what you can create with just a few shapes!

Lookee Here Ladies!

Happy Thursday all.
Today I have the cutest, dinkiest wee purse to share with you. It's the latest Big Shot die from SU! Its called a Petite purse, and petite it is... and pretty... and dinky... and... just so darn cute!

I've used the gorgeous 'Twitterpated' DSP to decorate my purse. I added some embellishments, pearls and filled it. Guess what with.
Yes, it's filled with chocolate! Easter eggs to be exact.
This pretty purse is the last project in my 'Boxed Bunnies' class coming up next week.

Hoppy Easter!

The Easter bunny has been and I got a photo of him before he headed onto the next house for egg deliveries...
Isn't he cute?? He's made of punches - ovals and circles with one of Boho Blossom flowers as the tail. Now I'm off to eat my chocolate egg, mmmmm.

Having An Egg-cellent Easter!

I know, it's a little corny for the title of a post, but it does have eggs in it!
With Easter next month I have an Easter Class on the schedule. It means cute wee gift boxes to fill with chocolatey goodness, mmmmm. With the release of the new Petal Cone die in the SU! mini it was a perfect time to see what I could come up with.

To create the gift box above, I've used the beautiful 'Springtime Vintage' DSP to create my cone and added some gorgeous satin ribbon and buttons. Every time I use the satin ribbon on a project I love the look it creates. It's so elegant and dresses up even the simplest creation. I even managed to colour coordinate the contents of the cone, though it did mean I had to eat the remaining colours in the bag (Not that I'm complaining! LOL)

To compliment the gift cone I made the following card:
I've used the same DSP paper pack and heat embossed the silhouette of the girl as the main image. It is difficult to see from this angle but the card is actually a pop-up card. It lays flat for posting but push the flower band up and and girl pops up to reveal a message.

Here's a side view to give you a better idea. The idea for this card came from one we did at a ASI Team get together and I have been wanting to use it for some time now. Isn't it great?!

Last but not least is another gift box. It reminds me of a Chinese Take Out box. Believe it or not, it is made with the same Petal Cone die as the other box.
I've heat embossed the sentiment and the cute egg, sponging over the egg to give it a bit more colour. I just love this wee box!

Something Old, Something new, Something Blue...

I said I would share the blue wedding card I was recently asked to create, so here it is.
It's quite different from my red card creation but still really like it.

I used 'Bashful Blue' as my main colour. I haven't used it in such a long time, tending to use my fave 'Baja Breeze', so it was nice to work with something different.
I used the blossom branch from the Easter set in the new mini and coloured the blossoms in with a white gel pen. I had stamped the image twice so I could punch out a heart to add as an additional layer. Getting those branches to line up was tricky. It's not perfectly matched but it is pretty close! I added the teeny tiny pearls to the centre of each blossom and sponged the embossing on the 'Bashful Blue' piece of cardstock to make it stand out a bit more.

Easter EGGtravaganza!

It is officially Spring now and with the warmer weather comes Easter! I have been busy creating these beauties for my upcoming Easter EGGtravaganza class next Wednesday night.

I tried my hand at punch art and came up with my chick. I think he's ok for my first attempt but think I need to practice a bit with the punches! The gorgeous wee birdhouse ( Can you believe it is made using the latest Milk Carton Big Shot die?!) is a case from Dawn's site. I didn't have all the punches Dawn used so I altered it to suit what I do have. It just think the birdhouse is SO adorable and what a wonderful reminder of what awaits us with Spring. Of course the fact that it holds chocolate morsels is an added bonus!

My third and forth creations (see below) are more traditional in nature but still gorgeous. As I cut the leaves for the birdhouse house I looked at the negative space I had left and it reminded me of a card I had seen here so another case was in order. The photo doesn't do the leaves symbol justice as it is raised on dimensionals and gives a lovely 3D effect. Of course I had to make a wee gift treat holder to go with the card so I cut out two tags from the Big Shot 'Two Tags' die and stuck them together. I decorated the front and enclosed a bag full of (what else?!) Easter eggs. It is such a classy way to give chocolate!
