Begin The Year With Blendabilities!
Hello all :)
Next week Stampin' Up! releases their new Occasions mini catalogue and the annual Sale-a-bration (SAB) promotion.
Something that really excited me in the SAB catalogue is the opportunity to earn free Blendabilities marker sets!!! If you haven't tried these markers yet you'll want to. They are so luxurious to use.
The above card is one of the projects for my upcoming class.
There is also a sneak peek of another SAB product on the card too. The background DSP near the base of the card. It's from a beautiful paper pack called 'Irresistibly Yours' that you can also earn for free during SAB.
It has clear embossed patterns on a heavyweight white cardstock. You can colour it in so many different ways. For this card I brayered the paper with 'Pink Pirouette' ink gradually fading it out at the bottom. Pretty!
Stay tuned to see more projects from the new catalogues! :D

Triple Layer Embossing
Happy Monday :)
It's a beautiful Autumn day here. The sun is out, there's a slight breeze in the air and the leaves are rustling. It's a great way to start the week.
Today I have a technique card to share. It's one of the projects in an upcoming class. The class is all about embossing and the wonderfully creative ways you can use it.
The card above has been embossed three separate times to give the result you see. The photo doesn't do the card justice as the depth and texture is amazing in real life.

Class Details
Dates: Wednesday 19th / Thursday 20th September, 7 - 9.30 pm.
Cost: $15
Email to register.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek :)

Brayering Birthday Wishes
Today's post is one of my attempts at brayering. I have seen many beautiful ideas with it and wanted to give it a try. I thought "How hard can it be?"...
Hmmmmm, Im going to have to practise!
One of the many perks of being a SU! demonstrator is the wonderful people you meet. I recently accepted a request for a penpal to swap cards with. I made this card to send. The lovely recipient? One Shelly Lommel from MN :). I hope you like your card Shelly!
Here's a closer look at my brayering...
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek, and have a wonderful weekend :)

The Embossibilities are Endless!
So here you have it... three cards all made with a different technique and embossing folder.
The first card (above) uses the beautiful Tulip embossing folder. I have used it to create a 4 1/4" square card instead of the regular 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" size. I've also heat embossed the gorgeous elephants with the new melon mambo embossing powder. Aren't they sweet?!
Next up is a technique where you emboss only parts of the folder pattern...
Lastly is a technique where you brayer colour onto your embossing folder before you put it through the Big Shot...
Interested in attending the class? Email me to register!
Dates: Wednesday 8th June/ Thursday 9th June, 7 - 9.30pm.
Cost: $15.00

Roses are... pink
I was thinking about ideas for my next card class and since a lovely customer of mine is having a birthday over the weekend I wanted to come up with something that I could use for both.
I came across this lovely number on Heidi Bak's blog (see link on right for runningwscissorsstamper) and updated it by using one of the new 'Well Scripted' stamps from the latest Occasions mini catty. The roses are actually embossed so those at my card class on 21st January will get to use the Sizzix Big Shot to make this card.
Hope you like roses Gail!
