Monocles & Moustaches

Hello all :)

Here's a card for a guy in your life! Rather dapper with a monocle and moustache, all this fellow needs is a top hat. I saw a card similar to this on Pinterest by Connie Jones (Thanks for the inspiration Connie!).

This is one of the projects for my upcoming 'Man Oh Man' class.
Here are the three projects...

The card on the top left is a swap I received from my upline Carol Matthews (Thanks Carol!). To checkout Carol's blog click here.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

'Mustaches For Movember' Class

Hello all :)

I've been busy creating products for upcoming craft fairs and classes.

I thought I'd share the projects for my second Blendabilities class that I am offering next month.
I was inspired by a card I saw created by Amy O'Neill (Thanks Amy!) and a gift bag created by Nicole Tugrul (Thanks Nicole!).

I think this nutcracker is so dashing in his uniform!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek :)

Oh Christmas Tree

Happy Tuesday :)

Todays post is for my upcoming 'Inky Moose Christmas' Club card. They're simpler cards that you can make in bulk if need be!

I've used the new 'Festival of Trees' stamp set with coordinating punch (Don't you love it when there's a coordinating punch?!).
The background is sponged with the stars decorative mask and I adhered some of the teeny stars from the 'Confetti Star' punch on top. So simple but so sweet!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by :D

Fall-ing For You

Hello all and happy Monday :D

Today's post is a custom order I was recently asked to create.
The only specifications; other than being an anniversary card, was for Fall colours.

Fall is a time of rich, vibrant and earthy hues for me so I went for some of the luscious new 2014 - 2016 In Colours from SU!.
Can you spot them? I used 'Hello Honey' (How could I not with a name like that!), 'Blackberry Bliss' and 'Tangelo Twist'. I added some 'Soft Suede' and Gold Glimmer paper.
I love the finished product :D

The sentiment is from the 'Really Good Greetings' set currently available during a promotion and was perfect for what I wanted to achieve.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! :)

Birds Of A Feather

Hello and happy Wednesday!

Today I'm sharing one of the cards I made to include with customer orders this month.
I went for a monochromatic look using the 'Four Feathers' stamp set and coordinating framelits.
A simple card but I really like it!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek :D

Kind Koalas

Hello all :)

I have a rather cute card to share with you today.
I made it recently for a friend and couldn't resist sharing as this fellow is just too darn cute!

I used my Blendabilities to colour the Koala and flower. I am slowly getting the hang of them. The dark colour always trips me up though!
I fussy cut them out and popped them on with dimensionals. I used some Crystal Effects for the nose and flower centre.
Of course I added some piercing to finish off the card front ;)

Because the card is 4 3/4" square, I made an envelope using the fantastic envelope board.
Here's a pic of the Koala peeking out ...

Pretty Pinecones

Good morning and happy Friday :)

It's been a busy week with classes and things here but I do have the second project for my upcoming 'Fancy Pants Christmas' class to share with you.

I love pinecones so when I saw the set 'Ornamental Pine' in the new holiday catalogue it was a given I would get it.

Here's the front of the card ...

Using a square framelit I cut a window from my card front to give you a peek of what is inside.

I love how this card turned out. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek :)

Blendabilities 101

Hello and happy Thursday :)

I've been working on a class showcasing Stampin' Up!'s Blendabilities markers.
I have to confess to being a little intimidated by them initially!

I have watched a multitude of videos to learn how to use them so I can share them with my customers.

This class consists of three projects and your own pack of the Daffodil Delight markers.
Stay tuned for more details :)

Happy Mail!

Look what I received today, some happy mail!

It's the nicest feeling finding a piece of mail in your mailbox that isn't a bill LOL.

This card was sent to me from Stampin' Up! Canada to recognize my 5th anniversary with SU!. Wasn't that so thoughtful? It made my day :D

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek :)

Remember Me?

Hello all and happy Tuesday :)

My post title is my way of saying I know it's been too long since I have posted on here sorry!
I am really going to try better :)

The card above is a case of one I saw by Lisa Young. I kept much of it the same but had to add some of the gorgeous crochet trim to the tag. Isn't it pretty?

The card is also one of the projects for my next class.
Here's all the projects:

I have used all the stamps in the stamp set 'Choose Happiness'. It's a great set for collage style cards and the sentiments are beautiful.
Have you noticed the card with the picket fence along the bottom? The fence is made with the banner stamp in the 'Choose Happiness' set!  That's definitely  thinking outside the box. I can't take the credit for it though. I spied it on Julie Davison's blog and it was too clever not to case!
Thanks Lisa and Julie for the inspiration!

Class Details:

Wednesday 6th August 1 - 3 pm & 7 - 9.30 pm / Thursday 7th August 7 - 9.30 pm

Cost: $15.00

Pictogram Punches

Hello all and happy Monday :)

It's been a while since I've posted on here and I do apologize. Life, hurricanes and Summer have got in the way lol.

I have classes this week and they're three projects using the cute stamp set 'Pictogram Punches'. I love the coordinating punches that match it!

The 'Happy Birthday' card was a case of a Sandi MacIver card that I tweaked a little.
The 'I love you' card is cased from Amy O'Neill.
Thank you ladies for the inspiration!

Class dates:

Wednesday 1-3.30 & 7-9.30pm; Thursday 7-9.30pm

Just Fur You

Happy Saturday :)

I've been taking a break from card making this week to recover from the East Coast Stampin' Event. It was a fantastic day with so many amazing people but boy I was beat afterwards lol.
This week has also seen graduations to celebrate so they've kept me busy too!

Here's one of the projects for my class this coming week.
I think this guy is adorable. This furry fellow is part of the 'Hot Diggity Dog' stamp set that I couldn't resist in the new catalogue.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek :)

Hello all :)

Today I'm sharing one of the projects for my upcoming class next week.

This card showcases 'Rich Razzleberry' tones to make a simple sympathy card striking.

Here's a photo of the entire card front...

It's In The Bag

Happy Saturday :)

Todays post is the project for my upcoming class.
The idea came from a gift a friend gave me at Christmas time (Thanks Kathy!). I had her bag sitting in my work room and every time someone came in they would comment on it so I knew I had to do a class with it!

I went one step further with the bag and added four coordinating cards so you can give it as a complete gift or use the bits separately (It would make a wonderful Mothers Day gift!).

The goodies I used?

Retro Fresh DSP (Love the colours in this pack!), Starburst Sayings stamp set, Label Love stamp set, various punches and the neat Scallops Textured Impressions embossing folder.

Here's a close up of the cards ...

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek :)

Egg-cited For Easter

It's snowing here again (sigh) so I thought I'd posted this darling card to add some sunshine to the day.
I can't help but smile every time I look at this sweet card :)

Because of all the goings on inside the card I thought I would keep the card front simple. That way when the recipient opens the card there is even more of a WOW factor.

Here's the card front ...

The potted Easter egg gives just a hint that the card is for Easter but you certainly don't expect to find bunnies and air balloons!

You're How Old?

Hi and happy Tuesday!

Today's share is a fun card I made using lots of goodies from the new Occasions catalogue.

I've used the Hexagon Hive Thinlit die, teamed with the 'Just Sayin'' stamp set and Retro Fresh DSP.
Did you notice the stamping on the Pool Party DSP behind the hexagons? That's the new 'Hardwood' stamp. It's my "go to" stamp at the moment LOL.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek :)

A Cute Mini Tutorial For Sale

Carol and I have been busy again and we have a new tutorial for purchase.

We've used the envelope punch board and new tag punch to create an adorable pocket tag book.

It's a great little gift, or handy to have on hand for your own needs. And it's ideal for a class!

Sale-a-brating With Banners!

Hi and happy Monday :)

Here's card #2 for my 'Sale-a-brate In Style' class.
I've used the 'Banner Blast' stamp set (that you can order for free with orders of $60) and corresponding punch.
The background "sky" paper is from the Sale-a-bration (SAB) 'Sweet Sorbet' DSP pack (another goodie you can earn for free!) and the embossing on the clouds is from the SAB  'Decorative Dots' embossing folder.

Have a super day and thanks for stopping by :)

Sale-a-brate In Style!

Hi there :)

Doesn't the photo above remind you of Spring?

Back in New Zealand the tulips popping up in the Botanic Garden always signaled the onset of Spring for me so that was the inspiration for this card in a box project for my upcoming class.

I've used the 'Sweet Sorbet' DSP (one of the free goodies you can choose from with Sale-a-bration!) to cover my box and to make a coordinating envelope. The images are from the lovely set 'Backyard Basics' which have coordinating framelits so no need for fussy cutting!

I love how this card is so full of dimension yet it lies flat for posting!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek :)
