Finally ... A Day That Really Is All About You!

Happy Wednesday :)

Today I'm sharing a fun card I made using the cute new sentiment set 'Really Good Greetings'.

I love the mix of different fonts in the set and this sentiment always makes me smile when I read it.

The sentiment inside the card reads 'Happy Birthday'.

Because the paper is quite busy, I've kept the rest of the card pretty simple. A couple of banners, a little embossing, some piercing and some linen thread ... one of my favourite "go to" items when I need a little something extra!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek and have yourself a lovely hump day :D

So Very Thankful

Happy Sunday :)

I apologise for not posting for a while.  My constant companion and furry friend was hit by a car last weekend so she has been my number one priority. She has had her surgery and is now home with us recovering. She has a long way to go but cuddles with loved ones are a strong medicine :)

This card is perfect for how I'm feeling... so thankful for all the wind words and support we have received and so thankful my friend is still here.

Oh, there's also a sneak peek of a product from the upcoming mini catalogue!
Enjoy :)

Simple, Sketched, Sweet

Hello all :)

It's another scorching day here and thankfully I have an air conditioning unit in my craft room otherwise it would just be too hot to ink up stamps!

In the new SU! catty there is a beautiful Hostess set called 'Simply Sketched' and it was one of the first stamp sets on my wish list. Having just acquired it I inked it up for my upcoming class. I saw this simple yet so beautiful card on Patty Bennetts site. Thanks for the inspiration Patty!
Like Patty I've used the new In Colours on my card (why mess with a good thing right?!).
The technique used to create the sponged background is called reverse masking. Isn't it lovely? Sometimes less is more and I definitely think that's the case with this card!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek and enjoy the rest of your weekend :D

More Bold and Beautiful Dahlias!

Happy Monday :)

This is the second project for my upcoming 'Regarding Dahlias' card class.
It's a z-fold card to make it that extra bit special. I heat embossed the dahlia on the front of the card with Black embossing powder.
I've used more of the bold and beautiful 'Modern Medley' DSP. You can team it with any colour and it looks striking. Here I've combined it with new In Colour 'Strawberry Slush'.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek :)

Delightful Dahlias

Happy Monday and Happy Canada Day!

Todays share is one of the projects for my upcoming 'Delightful Dahlias' card class.
I've gone bold and geometrical with a hint of feminine.

The colours used are the soft and gorgeous Smokey Slate and sweet Strawberry Slush. Paired with neutrals Black and Vanilla this card makes a statement!

Whether you are working today or enjoying the day off to celebrate your country, I hope your day is great.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek :)
