For A Friend

Happy Tuesday everyone :)
Today's post is to show you some Thank You cards I have made for a friend who recently discovered they need ongoing medical attention. Because we don't live in the same city I thought a way I could offer support was to make some cards for them to use to thank those that help them.
I made two cards that use the same layout, just different DSP. I wanted to embellish the cards the cards slightly but since they are for a man I didn't think ribbon would be very fitting. Instead I went for Bakers Twine and eyelets. I'm happy with how they turned out.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Birthday Wishes Vintage Style

 Happy Tuesday :)
Today's post was a card one of my DD's requested for a school friend having a birthday. DD was very specific about what kind of card she wanted... something vintage, something blue and something with embellishments!

I teamed up 'Established Elegance' with 'Notably Ornate' to give this card a vintage feel. I love how calling something "vintage" makes it more fashionable than just saying "old"!
The blue I added with Marina Mist and some 'Beau Chateau' DSP.  Add some pearls and lace ribbon and here you have it...
I'm happy with the final result but of course the proof was my DD's opinion!
I'm pleased to report the card was a success with her and the recipiant... Phew, nothing like a little pressure from family to make you work!
Thanks for stopping by :)

Cupcake Cuteness!

 Happy Thursday all :)
I've just realised I haven't posted photos of the upcoming 'Cupcake Cuteness' class. I do apologise for this oversight!
It's a little hard to sign up for a class if you don't know what you're making :)
First up is a cascading card. After I posted the cascading card my DD made, I had many requests to incorporate one into a class... so here it is!
What's great about this card is that it lies flat for easy posting.

Second up is a bakery shop window.
Using the word window punch, I have created an awning to protect these cute cupcakes from the sun. Can you imagine peering in the window of a bakery and trying to choose what cupcake you want!

Lastly is a cupcake box card. Looking at the card like this, it looks like a fairly regular card. But look what happens when you remove the band...
The card opens up to reveal itself as a box! How cool is that?! It's large enough to hold a small gift and a sentiment.

Want to make some cute cupcake cards of your own? You know what to do!
