Sensational Snowflakes

Happy Sunday all :)
I have pics of this weeks class projects to share with you today. I have used the new 'Snow Flurry' die for the Big Shot to create them all.

Above is the card I made using the negative piece of the snowflake cut-out. I sponged over it several times then dry embossed the piece of cardstock to give it some texture. I added some handsome Midnight Muse ribbon and silver embossing powder. Not your conventional Christmas card but striking nonetheless.

The second project uses the same snowflake image ... yes I do mean that the flower is made with snowflakes!
This wonderful idea came from a fellow demonstrator on the SU! Demo site. I love that you can use something so winter related to create something else. That's definite value for money!

Lucky last is the 3D snowflake ornament...

I had a couple of snowflakes cut out and was trying to decide what to make with them, when one of my DD's came into my room and said "They'd make a great 3D ornament Mum".
Thanks DD for your inspiration and thank you my readers for stopping by and taking a peek :)

The Christmas Class Is A Go!

Happy Wednesday :)
Today I'm excited to share with you the projects for my upcoming All Day Christmas class.
I had given you a sneaky peek of the wreath project, but here it is in it's entirety. Isn't it gorgeous?!
I love the Candy Cane feel the colours and patterns have. It is a "sweet" project for sure!
The wreath is the main (most time consuming!) project for the day.

The second project is this adorable decorative hanger ...

Each stocking can hold a small chocolate bar or Candy Cane. I have used the same handsome Bronze buttons and DSP as the wreath but have used the new cotton ribbon as the hanger.
Here's a closer pic...

Notice the embossing on the body of the stocking? I wasn't sure it would fit in the embossing folder but luckily it did!
Lastly is a cute wee project. At my last ASI Team meeting in Truro, one of the lovely ladies (Hi Linda!) showed us a sweet chocolate holder idea. Here is my take on it ...

This time I have used the cute Snow Festival DSP. Add some ribbon and these are the perfect gift when you want to give something small.
And what's inside?
Hmmmmm, that's not a hard question ...  all good gift boxes should contain chocolate!

So there you have it, my 2012 All Day Christmas Class projects!

A Sneaky Peek

Happy Sunday all :)
Today's post is a sneaky peek at one of the projects for the upcoming All Day Christmas class.
I had said I was going to include a wreath as one of the projects and here's a photo of part of it.
I've used the delicious 'Be Of Good Cheer' DSP, Gumball Green ribbon and handsome Brushed Bronze buttons. This wreath makes quite a statement!
I will post more photos over the next few days so make sure you come back and visit!

Easy Envelope Album

Happy Sunday :)
It's been a wee while since I last posted and I do apologise. I have a friend visiting from NZ who has been unwell so she has been a main priority. It's bad enough being sick in your own home but in another country is on another level again!

I realised today that I haven't posted what my class is going to be this coming week so here it is.
It's a photo album made from envelopes. It is just the right size to fit in your handbag if you want a brag book. The album holds 6 photos in total.

Here's a look at the album opened up...
You can decoarate your album to suit whatever occasion you might like. It would make a gorgeous Grandparent Brag Book or a simple gift to send someone from your wedding. I haven't stamped anything in the small pink ovals but you could either stamp a sentiment in them or handwrite the names of the people in the photographs.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek :)
