Reach For The Stars

Happy Friday :)

Today is a gorgeous sunny day here and it's even warm which makes a very nice change from the two snow storms we had earlier in the week.

Today I am sharing a piece of easel art I created for my next class.  My inspiration came from the cute wee arrow paper clip that is in the Spring Mini!
I had graduations in mind when I designed it but you could use it as pick-me-up on your work desk too!

Tickets are all the rage currently so I decided to add some since most graduates know what is trendy at the moment. You can customise them to whatever words you like to use. Adding a graduates name and graduation date to them for an extra special  tailor-made creation even!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek, and whatever you have planned for the weekend, enjoy it!

'Feeling Good In The Secret Garden' Tutorial

Hello all :)

Today I am excited to share my latest tutorial ... 'Feeling Good In The Secret Garden'.
I have been working on it for a little while but it's now finished and ready to share!

I have used the beautiful 'Feel Goods' stamp set as the focal point but have teamed it up with the delightful 'Secret Garden' flowers also to decorate the cards and gift tag. Can you tell I combined the names of the two sets to come up with the title of my tutorial?!

There are five stamps in the 'Feel Goods' set and I've created five projects ... One to showcase each of the beautiful heartfelt sentiments.
I've used the delicious Sale-A-Bration DSP, ribbon and buttons to create projects that are fresh  and fun. Teamed up with water cololured flowers, these creations WOW.

Ready For A Party

Hello all :)
Here's another creation for my upcoming 'Paper Dolls' card class. I've used lots of new goodies from the Spring catalogue for this one!
There's the paper doilies, the ribbon roses and the dress form framelits.. I saw a card very similar to this that one of the ASI member's had on display in her brand new craft room (We went to look and ohhhh and ahhhh over it ... it was a paper crafters heaven!). Thanks for the inspiration Linda :D
Here's the card in it's entirety ...

I think it's such a cute card!

An Old fashioned Celebration

Hello and happy Monday :)
One of my favourite sets in the 2013 Sale-a-bration catalogue is 'Feeling Sentimental'. The Penny Farthing bike and the sentiment are part of the set. I thought they would be useful for masculine cards which is something I always seem to struggle with.
There's also an old fashioned telephone box in the 'Feeling Sentimental' set and it reminds me of the TARDIS from 'Dr Who'. I'm not a Dr Who fan but my son is so that stamp is definitely going to come in handy!
The other sets I have used to create the card are 'Oh Hello' and 'Autumn Foliage'.
I love the simplicity of this card and the sense of days gone by.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Paper Dolls

Hello all :)
Today I'm sharing a card from my next upcoming class. It's using the fantastic Pop n Cut Form in the Spring Mini. You get to make your very own pop up card!
The 'Dress Form' framelits reminded me of paper dolls I used to play with as a child. Remember the dresses that came with tabs on them so they would stay on your paper doll? Hmmmm, I could be aging myself with that comment!
Also from the new mini is the lovely 'Amazing Family' stamp set. I've teamed it up with the delicious 'Pool Party' embossing powder.
Here's what the card looks like closed ...

I love all the texture and rich colours, and they give no clue as to the popping up goodness inside!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek :)
