SUDSOL Blog Tour - Welcome!

Hello, happy Monday and welcome SUDSOL Members and tour followers alike!!

This is my very first blog tour (squeal!) so thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my creations. I'd love it if you left me a comment or two as well :)

My first share is a birthday card made with some Sale-a-bration (SAB) goodies.
You've gotta love free stuff right?!

I've used the 'Banner Blast' stamp set and coordinating banner punch. I LOVE these bitty banners. They're so cute and just the right size for stringing along on a card.

Did you notice my embossing on the clouds?
Also a SAB goodie. This time its the 'Decorative Dots' embossing folder.

Then last but not least there's the "sky" DSP ... it's from the 'Sweet Sorbet' SAB Designer Series Paper.

For my second project I decided I wanted to go for a longer leaner look so I made my card base 3 x 6". This meant I had to make an envelope for the card but with my SU! envelope punch board it was a cinch ;)
I used the oldie but goodie Top Note die to shape the top of my card to add some interest. I embossed the Coastal Cabana Top Note shape with the 'Decorative Dots' embossing folder (my current go-to embossing pattern, thanks Sale-a-bration!).

I've used the 'Fresh Prints' DSP Stack and Spiral Flower Originals Die from the Occasions  mini catalogue and teamed it up with the 'You're Lovely' stamp set from SAB.
I cut the flower out with felt (I love that I can cut more than just cardstock with these dies) and it was a breeze to roll up and shape.

My third project is a special one. I have a dear friend turning 50 soon and I made this card for her.
The card base measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4".

I used the stamp set 'So Very Grateful'  from the Occasions mini and watercoloured the images using my ink pad lids and a blender pen. The colours I used were Primrose Petal, Real Red and Old Olive.
The photo doesn't do the card justice to show you how gorgeous the flowers look coloured in!

I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the four images.

The central diamond panel is raised with dimensionals and measures 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" (the red square). I stamped (and coloured) the other flower image from the stamp set , in the centre of the panel but most of it is covered up with the "50". I like that just a few sprigs are peeking out though.

I finished off my card with dry embossing, some Raspberry Ripple ribbon and a touch of glitter to give it some sparkle.

That's all from me so thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you've enjoyed my projects as much as I did sharing them with you :)

Wow Maree, I love the blue, white, and black combination on the first card - along with the darling clouds! And the second card is really thinking out of the box - good for you! You stretch my imagination. But you know the third card is my favourite - it's gorgeous. Your friend is going to love it!

Cute cards, I especially like the red rose against the Coastal Cabana background.
