Here Comes The Bride

Hello all :)

With the warmer weather comes "wedding season" and here's one of my creations.

It's simple yet elegant, soft and feminine. I love it!
The vanilla fabric flowers are just so pretty. I had quite a job getting brads through them but I got there in the end.

Here's the card in its entirety ...

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek. I've got a busy few days ahead of me as I prepare for my Open House Extravaganza!

A Sneak Peek!

Happy Friday!

It's another rainy day here but that just means more inside time for crafting :D

Today I wanted to share a sneak peek of some of the new goodies from the soon-to-released SU! catalogue.
Can you guess what they are?
The stamp set is new and so is the co-ordinating punch (no fussy cutting around stamped images, I know many of my ladies will LOVE this!) and ... one of my favourite things ... buttons!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek. Not long now until the new catalogue is released!

He's A Dapper Dude

Happy Wednesday all :)

My son will no doubt cringe at the title of this post but it sounded good so I've used it!
My son is graduating this year and with it comes his prom. That is the inspiration for this card that I originally saw on Pintrest (Thanks Connie!). Of course it could be used for any male with the change of sentiment.
The inside of the card sums it up ...

I think my son is all of these plus more! (and I'm not a bit biased ;)) I look at him as he prepares to make his way in the world and I am so proud of the gentleman he has become.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my creation ... I have to get busy with graduation cards  for my DS and his friends!

In Need Of Repair

Happy Sunday :)

With Fathers Day next month (here in the Northern hemisphere, in New Zealand it's not until September), it was time to do a masculine themed class and this is one of the projects.
Wrenches are a perfect symbol for anything masculine. This pair was made using SU! punches. Can you figure out which ones?
The metal grid is actually aluminium foil that has been embossed. How cool is that?! I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
Want to make this card and two other cards for the men in your life? Sign up for my class!

Beautiful Blues

Happy Thursday :)

With the soon to be released new SU! annual catalogue I have been going through my stash to try and sort out what I am keeping and what I'm not.
'Elements of Style' is retiring and I wanted to use it one last time. The beautiful rambling roses add class to any project and I will miss it.

I chose a sentiment from the 'From the Heart' set which is not retiring ... yay!!! I am a sucker for quotes and anything vintage and with 'From the Heart' it has both!

I've kept the colour scheme simple ... Marina Mist, Very Vanilla and Whisper White. I have always shied away from teaming white and vanilla together but I really like it on this card. The vanilla pops with the white behind it.

I hope you've had a great day (tomorrows Friday!) and thanks for stopping by and taking a peek :)

"Wish Big Human"

Happy Wednesday :)

"Wish Big Human" ... something you can imagine a robot saying and it's the sentiment inside the card. I know... another play on words! The first part of the sentiment ("Wish Big") is actually part of the retiring SU! set called 'Word Play'. I am going to miss this set.

I made this "metal marvel" with punch pieces and wanted to put a mouth on him but just couldn't find a shape that worked so decided to leave him as you see him here. What do you think? I think it makes his eyes stand out more.

Like this card and want to make one for your own kiddiwink?
If you haven't already signed up for my 'Kiddiwinks' class you'd better get on to it!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by :)

Here Kitty Kitty ...

Happy Friday all :)

I know ... another play on words for the post title but I couldn't help it!

This cutie is project two for my 'Kiddiwinks' class. I saw this card on Dawn Olchefske's blog (Thanks Dawn!) and knew I wanted it as part of the kids class.

Pretty straightforward to assemble, this card is a perfect example of "less is more", something I need to remember from time to time!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek and have yourself a great weekend :)
