Punch a Bunch of Posies

I thought it was about time we said farewell to the whites and sombre winter greys, and welcomed Spring with a dash of colour. What better way than with the perfect symbol of Spring... flowers.

For this class I went for bright cheery colours - Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Pear Pizazz. Each card uses a different stamp from the 'Punched Posies' stamp set.

First up we have this circle of flowers and sentiment. It actually opens up because it's a card. Isn't it sweet? I know this brighten someone's day if they received it.

Next up we have the card that looks like a flower pot. But lift up the flowers and this is what you'll see...
This idea came form one of the ladies that attends my classes. She kindly lent me the magazine she found the idea in (Thanks Wanda!) so I could make my own. I think it is adorable!

Last but not least is this card...
It's a bit difficult to see in the photo but the flowers that I punched out have been embossed using a technique called Inlaid Embossing. It adds a bit of texture and makes the flowers pop. I also love the scrunched ribbon with the glitter brad. Cute, cute, cute!

So there we have it. If you'd like to send Winter on it's way, class details follow:

Dates: Wednesday 16th/ Thursday 17th march, from 7 - 9.30pm.
Cost: $15.

What Kind of Man Do You Have?

Is the man in your life a Man of Mystery, a Petrol Head (Means he likes cars) or perhaps a 9-5 Shirt and Tie kinda guy?
Well whatever kind of guy he is, I'm sure one of the cards from my upcoming class will fit the bill.

Not that I have a Man of Mystery, but this card is my favourite! I just think he is so cute. He is made entirely from the SU! Owl punch and the idea came from Ellen Kemper. She is the Queen of punch art!
I also had a bit of a play on words with the sentiment inside. It reads "How Old?!" Too funny!

Next up is the Punch buggy for all those guys that like cars.
Isn't it great. It reminds me of the Volkswagen cars that I used to call a "beetle" when I was younger. Nowadays, kids use them to punch each other (hence the name) whenever they see one.

Lastly is the Shirt and Tie...
Interested in making some of these cards for your own men, then sign up for the class.

Wednesday 2nd / Thursday 3rd March, 7pm - 9.30pm.
Cost: $15.

'Just Because'

One of the projects I took to the ASI team meeting last weekend was something I have been working on for a while now. It is a pocket sized book of inspiration and a gorgeous wee gift box to present it in. I've used the beautiful 'Springtime Vintage' Paper to create a keepsake any one would love to receive.
After seeing the ASI ladies responses to it, it gave me the impetus to finally put my technological fears aside and create a digital tutorial so I could share with others. It was a daunting task but with my wonderful Up-line's help (I'll say it again Carol...You are wonderful!!!) I got there.

If you'd like to purchase the tutorial to make your very own pocket gift set (or to buy one ready made by me), then click on the link in the left hand column!
